Day 1: ARRIVAL SOFIA
Upon arrival at Sofia Airport, transfer to your hotel and check in. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing time to relax after your journey or begin discovering Sofia at your own pace. Enjoy a stroll through the lively city centre, explore charming cafés and local restaurants, or simply soak up the atmosphere of one of Europe’s oldest capitals.

Day 2: SOFIA
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before heading out for your first immersion into Sofia’s recent past. At your reserved time slot, enter the Red Flat and travel back to Communist Bulgaria of the 1980s. By visiting the home of an average family, you will discover what everyday life was like during the Cold War - from work and school to leisure, food, TV, and daily routines. Step inside and experience life in the days of Reagan and Gorbachev. The visit includes an entrance ticket and an audio guide in English, Spanish, Italian, French or Bulgarian. Please note: a fixed time slot must be booked in advance for all clients. No transportation included, clients need to reach the place themselves (detailed information will be sent).
In the afternoon, at 16:00, join a shared Communist Walking Tour of Sofia. This 3-hour guided tour explores Bulgaria’s communist period (1944-1989), its origins, legacy, and impact on present-day society. The route includes key landmarks such as the Former Headquarters of the Bulgarian Communist Party, a Secret Police Investigation Facility, the former Mausoleum site, the Monument of the Soviet Army, the National Palace of Culture, and the Memorial to the Victims of the Communist Regime, among others. Led by a licensed, professional English-speaking guide, the tour offers an informative and balanced insight into communism and everyday life in Bulgaria.
