EURORIENTE: GREEK MYTHOLOGY WITH ISTANBUL 12 Days (2025-2026)

Day 1: ATHENS

Welcome to Athens! Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel according to your chosen category. Accommodation

Day 2: ATHENS (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a panoramic tour of the city center of Athens: Parliament, University, National Library and Academy of Arts, Neoclassical Mansions, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian's Gate, Pan-Athenaeum Stadium and many other mythical monuments. After the panorama, visit the spectacular Acropolis. Free afternoon in the city.

Day 3: ATHENS / OLYMPIA (B-D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the direction of the Corinth Canal, where we will make our first stop to appreciate this impressive work of engineering. We continue our visit at the famous theater of Epidaurus, known worldwide for its exceptional acoustics. After passing through the picturesque city of Nafplio, we arrive in Mycenae, where we can see the prehistoric Acropolis, highlighting the Gate of the Lions and the tomb of Agamemnon, a place steeped in history and mythology. In the afternoon, crossing the central Peloponnese, we arrive in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. Dinner and Accommodation.

Day 4: OLYMPIA / DELPHI (B-D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning We will visit the facilities of the old Olympic stadium, where the first Olympic Games were held. Afterwards, we will visit the Olympia Museum, which houses valuable collections related to the games and history of ancient Greece. In the afternoon, we will continue our journey passing over the suspension bridge "Rio Antirio", one of the longest in the world, and arrive at Delphi. Dinner and Accommodation.

Day 5: DELPHI / KALAMBAKA (B-D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In Delphi, known as the center of the world in ancient times, we will visit the local museum, where the famous statue of the "Bronze Charioteer" is located, as well as the impressive archaeological site that includes the temple of Apollo. Next, we will depart for Kalambaka, a picturesque town at the foot of the Meteora Mountains. Dinner and Accommodation.

Day 6: KALAMBAKA / METEORA / ATHENS (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. We will start the day by visiting two of the impressive monasteries of Meteora, nestled high up in rock formations that seem to defy gravity. These monasteries, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offer a unique combination of architecture and spirituality in an unrivalled natural setting. Then departure to Athens, passing through Thermopylae, where the statue of the Spartan king Leonidas  is located.Arrival at our hotel and accommodation.

Day 7: ATHENS / FLIGHT / CHIOS (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take a domestic flight of approximately 1 hour, to the island of Chios. one of the largest in the Aegean archipelago, located just 30 minutes from the Turkish coast. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free time to discover this captivating island, known for its vibrant history, picturesque landscapes,  and deep cultural traditions. Chios is home to many attractions, including the medieval village of Pyrgi, famous for its houses decorated with geometric motifs, and the World Heritage Site of Nea Moni. In addition, its crystal clear beaches, such as Mavra Volia, with black volcanic sand, offer an ideal environment to relax and enjoy the Aegean Sea. Accommodation.

Day 8: CHIOS / FERRY / IZMIR (B - D)

Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time we left for the port to board the ferry that will take us to Çeşme, one of the most famous coastal destinations in Turkey, with an attractive port area, several historical monuments and a lively urban center full of shops and restaurants. After arrival and immigration procedures in Turkey, we left for Kusadasi/or Izmir. Dinner at the hotel and overnight. (During the summer months of May -October the accommodation could be Izmir and its surroundings instead of Kusadasi)

Day 9: IZMIR / BURSA / ISTANBUL (B)

Breakfast. Departure to Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. Visit of the Ulucamii Mosque, the Kozahan Silk Bazaar and the Green Mausoleum. Continuation of the trip to Istanbul arrival and overnight. (On some departures for operational reasons, the Izmir-Istanbul leg could be made with a domestic flight without passing through Bursa).

Day 10: ISTANBUL / SULEIMAN THE MAGNIFICENT (B)

Breakfast. Departure to visit the Mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent located on the third hill of Istanbul with one of the most well-known panoramic views of the city, by order of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent was built by the famous imperial architect Sinan. After the visit Free time to discover the city on your own. or optionally hire a full day visit to the Historical part of Istanbul where you can see Hagia Sophia (exterior) culmination of Byzantine art, and the pearl of Istanbul, the famous Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman sultans for four centuries, Enjoy a typical lunch in a local restaurant in the Sultanahmet area, Contemplate the Blue Mosque, a prodigy of harmony, proportion and elegance; and the Hippodrome that preserves the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine Column, the Fountain of Emperor William and the Egyptian Obelisk, at the end of the afternoon visit the famous Grand Bazaar where we will enjoy free time to get lost among its 4 thousand shops. Day 11: ISTANBUL / BOSPHORUS WALK / SPICE BAZAAR (B)

Breakfast. Departure for one of the most famous activities in Istanbul, a boat trip on the Bosphorus, the canal that separates Europe and Asia. During this journey you will appreciate the palaces of the Sultans, old and typical wooden houses and enjoy history in a different way. Next, we will make one of the star visits, the spice bazaar, established by the Ottomans 5 centuries ago and used since then. Our Included visit ends at the bazaar where you can enjoy its atmosphere and variety of shops. In the afternoon you can optionally visit  with lunch to the Asian side of the city visiting the palace of "Beylerbey" located on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. Former summer residence of the sultans of the Ottoman Empire, we will also be able to contemplate the famous Bosphorus suspension bridge that connects the European part with the Asian part of the city, after lunch we will visit the underrated district of Üsküdar located on the Asian side and then head to the Camlica Hill, one of the city's seven hills and the highest point in Istanbul. At 268 meters above sea level, Camlica Hill offers panoramic views of both sides of the city. At the end of the day return to the Hotel. Accommodation

Day 12: ISTANBUL / AIRPORT. (D)

Breakfast and at the indicated time transfer to the airport End of services. (Pickup will be 4 hours before the international flight time, exact time will be confirmed through your assistant at destination).
