The Barranquilla Carnival is one of Colombia's most important cultural and folkloric festivities, declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Celebrated annually, it is a vibrant blend of music, dances, costumes, and traditions that reflect the region's cultural diversity. Over four days of festivities, iconic parades such as the Battle of Flowers and the Grand Parade fill the streets with color and joy, transforming Barranquilla into a stage of celebration, creativity, and unity.

Barranquilla

Day 1. Friday, February 28. Barranquilla: City Tour

Arrival in the city of Barranquilla, assistance at Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport, and transfer to the hotel for check-in. (A flight before 12:00 PM is recommended).

At the indicated time, pick-up at the hotel to start a panoramic tour of the city's iconic sites, including Barrio El Prado, Aviation Founders Park, Metropolitan Cathedral, Edgar Rentería Stadium, Old Customs Building, Montoya Station, Tramway Station, Butterfly Square, "Shark's Fin," Swing Bridge, Old Riverfront Authority, Par Vial Cra. 50 (graffiti), and return to the hotel.

Duration: 4 hours

Start time: 2:00 PM

This day includes: Airport-to-hotel transfer, air-conditioned transportation, Spanish-speaking guide, and local medical assistance card.

Day 2. Saturday, March 1. Barranquilla – Battle of Flowers

Breakfast at the hotel.

This is a grand parade of floats, led by the Carnival Queen, followed by folkloric groups, costumes, cumbia dancers, and comparsas that won contests from the previous year’s carnival. The Battle of Flowers is the oldest parade held during the Barranquilla Carnival, first organized in 1903 by General Heriberto Arturo Vengochea to celebrate the end of the Thousand Days' War. The parade features renowned singers and artists dancing, singing, and parading along Via 40 in majestic floats, accompanied by comparsas. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Pick-up time: 10:00 AM – Latest departure at 4:30 PM

Day 3. Sunday, March 2. Barranquilla – Grand Parade of Tradition

Breakfast at the hotel.

The second day of the Carnival features the Grand Parade of Tradition and Folklore, showcasing traditional folkloric groups, cumbia dancers, and comparsas along Via 40. This parade emphasizes dance and music in their most traditional forms, with no floats. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Pick-up time: 12:00 PM – Latest departure at 4:30 PM

This day includes: Air-conditioned transportation, access to preferential stands, logistical support for stand placement, return transport coordination, and local medical assistance card.

Day 4. Monday, March 3. Barranquilla – Transfer Out
