DAY 01: AREQUIPA IN – CITY TOUR + SANTA CATALINA MONASTERY
Reception and transfer to selected hotel. At the appropriate time, I pick you up from the hotel to do the City Tour. 2:00 p.m. The visit to the White City of Arequipa will begin, visiting the Plaza de Armas, which presents a beautiful bronze fountain with three plates crowned with the figure of a 16th century soldier. Here, you will appreciate the Cathedral and the Cloisters of the Society of Jesus. Next, you will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, this was an absolutely closed center which was closed to the public for centuries, today, harmoniously restored and open, it allows you to appreciate what the city of Arequipa was in the 17th century. You will see its streets, gardens, cloisters, rustic stone laundries, ashlar walls and its art gallery, then you will move to the beautiful and green countryside of Carmen Alto and the Yanahuara Viewpoint where you will have a privileged view of the city and the volcanoes like the Misti, Pichu Pichu and Chachani. DAY 02: AREQUIPA – CHIVAY
Breakfast. Pick up from the hotel and departure to the Colca Valley along the Yura - Puno - Cuzco road, crossing part of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve visiting Pampa Cañahuas where you can see vicuñas, the back of the Arequipa Volcanoes; then continue to Patahuasi, a stop for adaptation to the altitude, where it is recommended to drink coca tea. We continue to Tocra to appreciate flora and fauna typical of the region, then continue to Patapampa or viewpoint of the volcanoes, where a maximum altitude of approximately 4800 meters above sea level is reached. Arrival to Chivay Lunch (on behalf of the passenger) and installation in the indicated Hotel; in the afternoon visit to the La Calera thermal baths; At night, dinner (at the passenger's expense) with a folkloric show, live music and dance. Lodging in Chivay (Vita Colca, Colca Tradition or Colca Inn).
DAY 03: COLCA – AREQUIPA – AREQUIPA OUT
Breakfast. Very early, you will head towards the Cruz del Cóndor (41 km from Chivay); On the route there are stops such as in the Town of Yanque, some viewpoints, in the Town of Maca, the stops will be coordinated, these can be on the way out or on the way back. Arrival at the Cruz Del Cóndor viewpoint, from where you can appreciate part of the depth of the canyon, and wait for the majestic flight of the condor, an approximate stay of one hour. Return to Chivay, lunch (at the passenger's expense) and direct return to Arequipa. Transfer to the hotel. At the appropriate time, transfer to the station/airport to return to the city of origin or continue with the trip.
